Steps To Make A Pillow Bed

Fold it and put it inside the car or put it in a bag to hand carry, easy as that!
You can make your pillow bed if you would want to. It is just simple when you are willing to do so.
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to make a pillow bed:
Step #1. Gather the materials you’ll be using
For this project, you will need the materials to use. Since you are going to connect pillows, you should know that you will be sewing them.
You will need a sewing machine with a thread, of course. To let the pillowcases stay in place, you’ll have to get pins.
Markings are a must, and you would need a pencil or tailor’s chalk.
Don’t forget your measuring tape and scissors, too. 2 sets of flannel cloth measuring 2 meters each could be in different patterns to make it alternating in design.
You can stick with one colour and design of the cover if you wish to do so.
Step #2. Trimming some of the pieces
Grab your scissors and cut both flannel pieces to a measurement of 34.5 by 75 inches.
It is essential to correctly measure your flannel cloth because it will be a big problem if you measured it wrong.
Use your tape measure and put markings using your tailor’s chalk. Use pins to keep the cloth intact.
Step #3. Pinning sides
So after cutting the flannel pieces, you will be pinning the areas you will sew later on. It will ensure that the pillowcases are in place.
Put up both flannel pieces and let them be facing their right side. Put your pins in both open.
Make sure that when you pin, you’ll leave a space on each side.
Step #4. Sewing
Right, where you have pinned, leave 1 / 2 seam when you are machine sewing all the three pinned sides.
Take note that you should be very careful with this step.
Watch out for your hands when you use a sewing machine; you don’t want your fingers to be caught by the needle.
Step #5. Trimming
This step may be the easiest to do, but you have to do it carefully.
Cut out or trim the excess fabric from the points of stitching.
Be careful not to trim too close to the stitching. The step ensures that your work is neat.
Step #6. Folding over
There is this one side that one hasn’t sewn from our steps earlier. To make about 1/ 2 seam, you should fold it over and start putting pins on the flannel.
Step #7. Sewing the seam
You have pinned a seam in your last step, right? You will be sewing that right in the edge of it.
Remember that you should not sew it with both sides but with each side, so turn it out when you are machine sewing it already.
Step #8. Dividing it
So grab one of the short ends you have, put a line parallel to it each time it gets to a measurement of about 18. 5 inches until you are down to the other short end.
Your pillow bed will split into 4. Now start stitching each side, which will give you about four pillow pockets in total.
Step #9. Stuffing
The last step to do is to stuff your pillow bed with pillows.
Fluff it up and make sure it is well intact. You can see that the other end is open where you put your pillow in.
Just in case you want it close, you can put decorations or buttons to close it in. Although leaving it open won’t be a problem.
Making a pillow bed is not that hard if you are persistent. You may buy it in some shops or online but still, doing yours is way different.
It is nice to see something you have made being used inside the house or brought anywhere else to stay comfy.
Indeed pillow beds are flexible to use. It has a lot of purposes.
